It has a significant number of Halal places to eat:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/zahirkebab.pt\/\">Zahir Kebab<\/a> &#8211; there are multiple branches, it&#8217;s a bit like GDK in the UK. We enjoy the food from here on occasion. Two of the branches are a short walk from\/to a Masjid (<strong>Centro Cultural Isl\u00e2mico do Colinas do Cruzeiro<\/strong> and the larger <strong>Mesquita Aisha Siddika<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/smashhouse.pt\/\">Smash House Burgers<\/a> &#8211; Rua Rainha Santa Isabel 9, Odivelas. As per its name!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus there are various other Pizza, Indian or Fast\/Grilled food places dotted around this area. Oh and a chai place called &#8220;ChaiiCafe&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Further Afield<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mariscaria (Seafood)<\/strong>, R. das Flores 8, 2750-348 <strong>Cascais<\/strong>, Portugal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adventures<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>A visit to Lisbon is not complete without heading to <strong>Belem <\/strong>and once you&#8217;ve explored the local Museums (the Earthquake one is particularly interesting), <strong>Jeronimos Monastry<\/strong> and climbed up the <strong>Torre de Belem<\/strong> you cannot leave until you have visited <strong>Pasteis de Belem<\/strong>. Yes, the queues can be big but the service turnaround is quick and the place is a veritable maze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside from great Pasteis de Natas they serve great coffee and other brilliant pastries and sweet treats too&#8230;here&#8217;s evidence of that greatness:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-medium\"><a href=\"http:\/\/zulfikar.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/PXL_20230224_160446486-1024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"226\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/zulfikar.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/PXL_20230224_160446486-1024-226x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1082\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zulfikar.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/PXL_20230224_160446486-1024-226x300.jpg 226w, https:\/\/zulfikar.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/PXL_20230224_160446486-1024-768x1020.jpg 768w, https:\/\/zulfikar.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/PXL_20230224_160446486-1024.jpg 771w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 226px) 100vw, 226px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are quite a few Manteigaria bakerys in Lisbon, they cook their Natas daily so they are fresh. I&#8217;m going to say it, their Natas are better than those in Belem and their galoa is amazing!
