Uninstall any other Virtualisation Software<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Firstly make sure you do not already have any virtualisation software installed on your Windows device. IF you have previously installed Virtual Box or added HyperV to your Windows device you need to uninstall or remove them completely before installing VMware Workstation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installing VMware Workstation<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

You will need to download the latest VMware Workstation executable, once you have that you just need to follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Double click the file VMware-workstation-full-17.5.0-22583795.exe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Click Yes <\/strong>on the UAC <\/strong>prompt. Then the VMware installation prompt appears as below, click Next><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Accept the terms of the EULA<\/strong>, click Next><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. On Custom Setup<\/strong> leave the default settings, click Next><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

5. On User Experience Settings<\/strong> DESELECT both options, click Next><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

6. On Shortcuts <\/strong>click Next><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

7. On the Ready to Install<\/strong>, click Install<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Installation is complete. Click Finish<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Use ncpa.cpl<\/strong> to access the network adapter settings, notice the 2 new VMware adapters<\/strong> added to your device:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Create a shortcut <\/strong>to VMware Workstation Pro on your taskbar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. When you start VMware Workstation it wants a license <\/strong>key:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12. Enter in your license key<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13. Accept the UAC<\/strong> prompt, and the click Finish<\/strong> on the Welcome screen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
