I graduated from Wolverhampton University in Psychological Sciences where I also became proficient in the art of Gymkata, in 1998 I founded curryonline.co.uk the first online food delivery service in the country. I entered the tech industry in 1999 subsequently leading the migration for the DWP in 2003, for the MoD in 2006 and to date have worked with over 50 distinct clients transforming IT services. I am now a startup investor and an independant consultant with strong cloud architecture and security knowledge. Currently attached to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Developement as the lead architect for cloud services.

WORK

2019 to today - Cloud Security Architect at the EBRD

Cloud Architecture lead and technical design authority on public cloud and SME leading and supporting my DevOps team of 12 engineers. Responsible for security of the Azure platform, DR planning and HA for consumed services.

Strategic planning and ongoing roadmap development and refinement. Collaborating with business stakeholders including head of IT security and business application owners.

Responsible for all cloud costs and budget forecasting while leading initiatives on ongoing cloud cost optimisation.

2018 - Cloud Architect at Clearstream

Onboarding critical components of the Investment Fund Services application services into public cloud within strict regulatory and security requirements. Based onsite in Luxembourg supporting the Enterprise Architect and the Cloud Unit team in Frankfurt with deployment patterns, Ops & security changes

2018 - Cloud Architect at GroupM

Provided a cloud operating model, a 3 year strategy, product roadmap and architectural designs for Azure and AWS. Worked with primary supplier IBM to lift existing workloads to IBM cloud. Overseeing cloud platform delivery for on-boarding of applications utilising a service wrapper from Rackspace and developing cloud security and compliance capability and operations
